F.A.Q

- What happens after I place an order?

After an order is placed we will email you for all needed print files. We will then prepare to print your order. This process includes rendering your print files and ensuring the files are high quality. If we need to tweak your images to keep quality intact, we will send a confirmation email for your approval. Once approved, we will create a mock up using your print ready file. A second confirmation email including this mock up and print placement will be sent for your approval.

Once approved, your item(s) will head to prep. Preparing items includes pre-treating your garments to make sure the ink sets into the fabric and heat treated to activate the all natural water based pre-treatment solution. Pre-treating a garment is a must to ensure the ink remains permanent and attaches to the fibers of the garment. This process can take 1-3 business days depending on your order size and volume.

Once pre-treatment is activated your garments will enter the final stage of printing. We print on garments using water-based heat treated inks. Once printed, we heat-press each garment to ensure the ink is set into the garment fabric and attaches to the pre-treated surface.

Your garments will then cure for 24 hours and be packaged for shipment.

- What’s the difference between DTG, DTF, and Screen Printing?

Direct to Garment (DTG) is a state of the art printing process which allows for full range printing without the hassle of using multiple screens and low quality rubbery inks. With DTG we are able to print ANY image in ONE GO using high quality water based garment inks that set directly into the fabric rather than sit on top of it.

Screen Printing is the old school way of printing onto a garment. Using multiple screens which can be costly with huge set up fees that come with high print costs. A quality way to print, but a much more expensive and labor inclusive option but holds a limit as to what images you can print.

Direct to Film (DTF) is what we call the “lazy” print. DTF uses oil or water based inks, but with a rubbery and often plastic feel to it. More prone to stretching, fading, and cracking the more you wash your garment. This process is widely used for swap meets, and low tier flea market style prints.

With DTG, you get the quality of a screen print with much more freedom to what you can print on a garment. Want that photo of you and your partner on vacation in Cabo printed on a shirt? Or your dog running through a grassy field on a summer day with a burst of color? With DTG, your imagination can run wild with one single push of a button and no high cost set up fees.
